Freelance Writing, Editing & Proofreading

I’ve written articles and copy for the likes of the National Post, Toronto Life, Essential & Hazlitt. I copy edit leading digital political newsletter Queen’s Park Today and its sister publication BC Today. I’ve performed proofreading and copy editing for digital projects for major clients in the government and education sector. Writing samples and links available upon request.

I’ve been awarded the RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers from the Writer’s Trust of Canada, received grants via the Toronto Arts Council and Ontario Arts Council, and published creative writing in a wide range of literary journals.

I like to think I bring precision, skill and attention to detail to creative environments, and a creative, artistic and knowledgeable approach to technical projects and deadline-driven environments. It’s a balancing act that I find exciting and interesting, and it contributes to making me a flexible and engaged colleague. I like to think of myself as a chameleon who can easily adapt my writing style and tone to suit my audience (I’ve written lists of the best kid’s furniture stores in Toronto, resumes and LinkedIn profiles for marine biologists, and book reviews for national newspapers).
